IT FRIENDLY SOLUTION

Scale Monitor™ was not only designed by IT experts, but also with IT experts in mind. User experience is the most important thing in our development process and the final product is only as good as the users experiences it.

COMMON CHALLENGES

Integration of measuring equipment into the production process and existing computer systems is a tough job for the IT department. Numerous products, with different communication protocols and connectivity options, each demanding its own approach with different limitations. To make the job even tougher, even from the same manufacturer things differ from product to product. But no company has all the measuring equipment from only one manufacturer, so connect everything together and integrate it into existing setup becomes a nightmare for the IT department.

The next big problem is support! Manufacturers do not offer the level of support needed in order to implement the equipment into the company, they only provide limited information about the products. This basically means, that the IT department is more or less on their own, when it comes to integration.

There are some complete solutions on the market, but they are mostly only combining some technologies, are not flexible and require some dedicated equipment, like specific computer configuration, servers, software purchase, your own implementation and some basic or no support at all. They are usually very expensive and you have to adjust your working procedures according to them, not the other way around. If you need any custom modifications, you will probably not get them, or you will pay a fortune in order to get them custom developed.

THE SOLUTION

So this is where Scale Monitor™ comes in. It is a free solution, that is built modular and fully adjustable/customizable according to the needs of the company, processes or users. It can be adjusted at any time and it includes IT tools that enable seamless integration and unprecedented control of the system the entire time.

TECNICAL INFORMATION

Local Scale Connection

You can connect your scales directly, via USB, Bluetooth or RS-232 port to computers, launch Scale Monitor™ from your browser and you are ready to go. This type of scale connection is limited to one user at a time and local usage of the scale only. Scale Monitor™ application still enables to monitor the scale, save weighings and export data for multiple users, localy or remotely.

However, Scale Monitor™ is still cloud based and your data is accessible from anywhere. It is only your scale, that is connected locally and this way limited to local use only.

Cloud Scale Connection

You can establish a cloud connection with any scale via Cloud Scale Link. It Is a module, specifically designed to establish a real time communication between the scale and the cloud. The module is connected to the scale via RS-232 port and allows basically any scale to be connected directly to cloud. This type of connection allows multiple users/devices to connect to the same scale at the same time. It allows a two-way communication with any user, which means any user can send commands to the scale or retrieve data from the scale, locally or remotely. The only limitation is that only one user at the time can be set a s Master-Client(to send commands to the scale), because the scale can take commands only from one source at the time.
