CLOUD SCALE LINK

In the ever-evolving landscape of data connectivity, efficiency, speed, and versatility are key. Whether in industrial settings, IoT applications, or simple data transfer tasks, having a reliable and adaptable communication bridge is essential. Cloud Scale Link emerges as a powerhouse solution that provides the necessary flexibility and performance required in various scenarios. This compact device supports MQTT, TCP/IP, and HTTP/REST protocols, all while boasting an incredibly fast and straightforward setup process.

The Power of Rapid Setup

One of the standout features of the Cloud Scale Link is its astonishingly quick and simple installation. With the free CSLTools setup application, featuring an integrated communication tester and debugging tool, or through the integrated CSLTools-web configuration utility, the interface can be up and running in less than 30 seconds. This means you spend more time benefiting from the device and less time configuring it.

SUPPORTED PROTOCOLS FOR VERSATILE COMMUNICATION

Cloud Scale Link supports a range of protocols, ensuring compatibility with diverse communication requirements:

1. RS-232 to MQTT:

With support for MQTT v3.1.1, users can freely configure topics and device IDs, subscribe to topics, and employ optional authentication with usernames and passwords. This setup enables bi-directional communication.

2. RS-232 to HTTP – REST:

This mode facilitates POST/GET requests, and it delivers responses in JSON format, including a configurable device ID. Like MQTT, it also supports bi-directional communication.

3. RS-232 to TCP/IP Client Mode:

In this configuration, you can define the IP address and port. This mode is ideal for scenarios demanding TCP/IP communication, with the added advantage of bi-directional capabilities.

4. RS-232 to TCP/IP Server Mode:

Similar to the client mode, this option allows you to configure the port, catering to applications requiring a server setup and bi-directional communication.

5. Ping and DHCP:

The device supports basic network functions like ping and DHCP, enhancing its versatility.

Should a connection be lost on TCP/IP or MQTT, users can set up a notification. A string of up to 64 characters can be sent over RS-232 to signal the disconnection, ensuring the timely detection of issues.

Fully Configurable RS-232 Parameters

Cloud Scale Link is equipped with a range of configurable RS-232 parameters, offering users complete control:

  • Baudrate: Choose from 1200 to 115200 bps, catering to different data transmission speeds.
  • Parity: Opt for none, even, or odd parity settings.
  • Data Bits: Select between 7 and 8 data bits, accommodating varying data formats.

The CSLTools Advantage

For ease of use, the device comes with the CSLTools configuration tool. This tool is a valuable addition, as it includes an integrated tester and debugging feature, eliminating the need for complex installations.

Web-Based Configuration

Configuring the Cloud Scale Link is made even simpler through the CSLTools-web interface. Connect the device directly to your PC, laptop, or tablet via an Ethernet cable and access the configuration settings through your web browser. This web-based setup allows for direct and hassle-free customization.
