We are excited to announce the release of the new generation CloudScaleLink THOR & ODIN modules. This upgrade is the result of direct feedback from our customers, system integrators, and scale technicians — with a clear goal: simpler installation, broader compatibility, and cleaner integration.
What’s New
UART Communication Support
In addition to RS-232 and RS-485, the new CloudScaleLink modules now support UART. This allows connectivity with a wider range of weighing instruments and embedded systems that do not provide traditional serial interfaces.
Dedicated Support for Ohaus Scales
We are introducing CloudScaleLink models specifically designed for Ohaus scales, expanding our portfolio with native support for:
Defender series indicators
SKX / STX compact scales
These models allow easy upgrades of existing indicators with Ethernet, WiFi, or Bluetooth BLE connectivity. The CloudScaleLink module can be installed inside the indicator housing, keeping the installation clean and eliminating the need for external adapters or additional cables.
For stainless steel indicators, we recommend choosing the version with an external antenna to ensure optimal WiFi and Bluetooth signal strength.
Screw Terminal Connections
Soldering is no longer required. All signal and power connections are now handled via screw terminal blocks, allowing fast and reliable installation using only a screwdriver. This significantly simplifies field upgrades and custom cable installations.
