We are pleased to introduce CSTools

This is our new application for configuring and managing Neutron modules and Neutron connected scales.

CSTools is designed to make setup simple for anyone, while still providing complete configuration, calibration and diagnostic capabilities when required.

Using Bluetooth, users can connect directly from a phone, tablet or PC, with no internet connection needed for local setup.

With CSTools users can:

Configure Wi-Fi, Ethernet, cloud and scale settings
Calibrate connected scales directly from the application
Create complete configuration backups
Restore previously saved device settings

What’s New

UART Communication Support

In addition to RS-232 and RS-485, the new CloudScaleLink modules now support UART. This allows connectivity with a wider range of weighing instruments and embedded systems that do not provide traditional serial interfaces.

Dedicated Support for Ohaus Scales

We are introducing CloudScaleLink models specifically designed for Ohaus scales, expanding our portfolio with native support for:

Defender series indicators
SKX / STX compact scales

WHY Scale Monitor™ AND WHAT IT IS?

The common problem of weighing is that the process is still manual and relies on operators, so there is a big chance of human error. The next setback is manual data collecting and retyping the results into computers, programs, etc. This is another chance for errors, but the bigger problem here is the time lost in order to provide the results. This should be easy to automate with all the fancy technology we know nowadays, right?

In the digital age, sadly, the scales are still “primitive” instruments, which haven’t changed in over 50 years. The last big thing in weighing were digital scales. What do you do if you bought or own a scale, and you need another function on it? You buy a new scale every time?

In every business multiple operations are performed, which require a different setup of the measuring equipment. The equipment is expensive and designed for specific needs, which can not be changed. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could adjust the equipment according to your needs and process requirements?

When you weigh, all your scale provides is the weight of the material. Don’t you find important to know what was on the scale? Who performed the operation and why? The time and date of operation? Workorder? etc… You can still provide this data manually by the operator, but this means additional work, and the reliability of the collected data with human error in the equation. With automation of the proces you would gain 100% reliabilty, real time data without any additional effort. Now this sounds nice, right?

LET’S BREAK DOWN A SCALE, TO SEE WHERE LIES THE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENTS:

LOAD CELL: The measuring instrument
